Expedition Engineering is a visionary B-Corp, working with developers, architects, artists, government bodies, charities, fabricators and contractors to achieve pioneering design and engineering. They're part of the Useful Simple Trust – a family of professional design practices that are proud to be B-Corp-certified social enterprises and employee benefit trusts. With a legacy website, disparate communications and a lack of consistent brand language, it was time for Expedition to rethink its expression.

Working directly with Expedition, we ran a verbal identity workshop to uncover the themes, tone and content that they felt captured their essence. Taking the findings away, we created a unique tone of voice for the brand, with a style guide and easy-to-navigate example text that gave internal writers all they needed to represent the brand confidently. Finally, we applied our work to a new website, working alongside specialist engineering authors to marry brand language with accurate, practical content.
