The challenge

PropertyGuru operates across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, with sustainability initiatives spanning climate action, technology, governance, community investment and workplace culture. Turning hundreds of pages of information, interviews and technical ESG content into a report that felt strategic, accessible and engaging required more than copywriting.

It required a clear editorial framework and a single narrative that every stakeholder could support.

Our approach

Working alongside Flag, we led the editorial development of PropertyGuru’s Sustainability Report.

We interviewed subject matter experts across the business, structured the report around clear strategic themes, developed the narrative architecture and wrote the publication from beginning to end. Throughout the project we managed multiple review rounds across senior stakeholders, balancing technical accuracy with clarity and consistency.

Having delivered the previous year’s report, we were also able to evolve the narrative rather than starting again, building greater consistency in PropertyGuru’s sustainability communications year-on-year.

The outcome

The final report presents a unified story across dozens of contributors, covering everything from climate action and sustainable property search to governance, cybersecurity, employee wellbeing and community impact. Rather than reading as a collection of separate initiatives, the publication communicates a single strategic vision centred on helping people “live, work and thrive in tomorrow’s cities.”

Communication problem solved

Sustainability reports often become collections of disconnected facts written by different departments. We helped PropertyGuru transform a complex set of ESG initiatives into a coherent narrative that could be understood by investors, partners, employees and customers alike.
